Swim Season Update 2016

Written by Sarah O’Donnell

Vikings swimming is off to a slow start with two of the first three meets canceled due to winter weather. Before the snow hit, the boys’ swim team won with ease against McNary on December 1st while the girls lost only 12 points behind McNary. The boys team won all but one varsity event with their consistently strong swims. Sophomore Daphne Janko won both the 200FR and 500FR similar to junior Cali Rowland’s sweep who won the 200IM and 100BR. Janko and Rowland also won both the 200 Medley Relay and 400FR Relay alongside freshman Luci Brenner and sophomore Jordan Bohms.

The Viking’s meet against West Albany has been rescheduled for December 20th at the KROC Center, and their meet against North Salem has been rescheduled for January 3rd at the Forest Grove Aquatic Center. Hope to see your support at the upcoming meets, and as always, Vikings ROAR!!
